3Sp's School Routine

Featured Blogger: Samuel K.
3Sp has a school routine. Sometimes our schedule is a little awkward. Here's our normal schedule. First is arrival and morning work. Morning work is where we catch up on our work and after that we pick what we want depending on what day of the week it is. Next we do reading and we learn different types of genres of books. Snack is when we eat and the teacher reads a book. During snack we share on Mondays and watch Mystery Science Doug on Fridays or sometimes Thursdays. Next is specials which are Gym, Library, Music, and Art. You might think there are 5 days and 4 specials, and how does that work? Here's how. We have two of the same specials on two days. We have Gym on Thursday and Monday. After the specials, then we have snack angan to read more of the book, share, or watch Mystery Science Doug.
Writing is where we learn about a type of writing genre. We learned personal narratives, opinion writing and so on. Before math we do a Go Noodle.  A Go Noodle where we have a website we if you feel tired or full of energy the videos help up feel focist. Math is when we do centers or workshop style. Centers are where we have a teacher center, independent center and technology center. Workshop style is where we do a lesson, then do a worksheet, then Reflex, then Freckle. After is lunch, recess, then Typing.com. Typing.com is where we have a website where we practice typing.

Also we do Friday free time when we earn minutes starting on Monday. If we do something not good we lose a minute or two. On Friday we count how many points we have. For example if we earned 30 minutes, we get that much free time at the end of the day. Also we can do other activities which we can’t do on other school days. Finally dismissal is where we have four minutes to clean up and do our class jobs. Then we do a Go Noodle then dismissal. Here is 3Sp’s school routine!

Mystery Science Doug Blog

Featured Blogger: Corbin
Mystery Science Doug is where you can ask Doug a question. Doug will answer your question and he will explain your question carefully so you understand it better. After the video he gives a bonus and you can try to answer the question correctly. 3Sp does Mystery Science Doug on Thursday. One of these was what is the biggest number. Another is how toys are invented. Our class likes Mystery Science Doug because it helps us learn more about things.  Thank you for reading my blog.

Valentine's Day With Our Kindergarten Buddies!!!

Featured Blogger: Sam B.

This Valentine's day we spent it with all our kindergarten buddies. We went over to their classroom and made pretty awesome projects in my opinion. But the best part was spending time and talking to our buddies and working to know them better.  This was pretty easy for me because my buddy liked to open up to me and probably every other kindergarten kid in their class likes to do too. This makes me and I’m pretty sure that everyone else in my class agrees that it makes you feel special when they do. We also got to work on a Valentine’s project where we made a heart cut out. We cut out a heart, made arms and legs for it and colored it and it was really fun. I hope you liked listening to our normal day with buddies on Valentine’s day and I hope you have a good day.

Biographies!

Featured Blogger: Riley
Hi, my name is Riley✳. My class has been working on something for a long time. Its our biography project. Before we even started working on the writing part we had to read a lot about our great changer let alone pick our great changer. Then we have to write down all the information we learned on index cards and then organize them. After that we have to transport the things on the index cards and write it on lined paper in complete sentences. And then my favorite step: type! After that you fill out a few papers about your great changer and glue them onto the lap book along with your printed draft. And your done it took a while but it was worth it!

Book Projects

Featured Blogger: Rhea
Hi, I’m Rhea and I’m going to tell you about our book projects. We didn't actually do it at school we worked on it for homework. First we choose a book to work on, then we choose the project that we wanted to do. The options were book in a box, and you had to choose 8 objects and tell why they are important to the book. The next one was the shoebox diorama, and you had to choose an important scene in the book, make it and write about it. Then we had the setting. You had to choose 6 places in the book and draw them on a poster and write how they are important. Next up we have the collage. You have to choose 15 important objects and print them out and put them on the poster. Then on a separate piece of paper you have to write how they are important to the book. Last but not least we have the book timeline. You have to use words and pictures from the book and make a timeline. Then write why it is important to the book. Then we presented our project to the class.
