Math Club

Featured Blogger: Ella
In Math Club (in3Q) we started using iPads for math, instead of using paper with so, so many numbers in the math problems.  On the iPad, there is a highlight button.  You can also click on a button right next to the highlight button, that is a circle with a small X in the middle. There is also a button next to the highlight, and the cancel (X) button that when you hit it, it will pop out a ruler that will help with a measurement math problem. All three of those buttons are next to each other at the top of the paper on the website.  My point is... the website is really cool, AND SO ARE..IPADS!

3Sp Was in the Newspaper!

Featured Blogger: Natalia
3Sp was in the Natick Bulletin & Tab newspaper for collecting 1,431 pennies! Altogether we collected $15 and donated the money to the Natick Service Council.  Patrick brought in the newspaper. The newspaper said that they thanked us for donating pennies and that they congratulate us.  Our class felt happy because we were helping others.  We might do another math project like this one soon!

Beach Day Surprise

Featured Blogger: Isabella
Beach Day was a big surprise. I was really surprised when I heard that we were going to play limbo. It was so fun! I had fun with all my friends. 1000s of kids played limbo all together and we had to wait a long time for our turn but it was fun anyway. Even if i had to wait longer I’d still have fun. I bet next time it’s going to be the best beach day yet. Maybe even more than 1000 kids will play limbo next Beach Day.  It was fun hanging out with my class.

Beach Day

Featured Blogger: Madeleine
We had Beach Day today!  It was so fun!  We made sharks out of paper.  We got to bring our towels to school and sat on them during reading time.  There were lots of decorations, such as green banner things hanging down from the office door and a sign that said "Tiki Hut."  We're having a special snack with fruit smoothies and other yummy stuff!  We can't wait to see what the special surprise is!  I like Beach Day!

Just Josie and the Perfect Day

Featured Blogger: Lucinda
On Thursday during snack I read a book called Just Josie and the Perfect Day.  It was about a little girl named Josie.  She has a tough time figuring out how to have the best day.  I really like this book because Josie, the main character in the book, did a lot of things that my sister, also named Josie, did.  And it had a message that made my heart move: "Rainbows bring out the best in everyone."  I love this book!

3rd Graders Get Dictionaries

Featured Blogger: Sophia
On Thursday we got our dictionaries. And we got to hear about who gave them to us, the Rotary Club. We also got to explore our dictionaries, and we found all different words and stuff like that.  For example, sign language, Braille and even the longest word in the world!  And it was even personalized with our name in it!  The dictionaries were so cool and everybody was so excited to get them.

Writing

Featured Blogger: Patrick
In writing we listed facts about either Pilgrims, Wampanoag or the First Thanksgiving.  After we shared our facts with our partners that chose the same topic. Once every partnership had the same facts, then all the people that had the same topic shared it with the group.
